Medical Treatment

If a Dachshund requires medical attention from a vet whilst in your care, costs will be met by Dachshund Rescue, provided it is agreed with us PRIOR to any treatment.

Unforeseen problems can arise during any fostering period, we will need to understand that you will contact your Rescue Coordinator to solve a problem whilst it is still manageable, and not wait until you feel unable to foster the dog.

You will also need to commit 100% to ensuring that any dog is safe and settled with you, and that you will help it through its settling-in period.

As someone who has looked after the dog, we may ask your opinion on any prospective owners, although the final re-homing decisions will be made by us.
